Indigos

For those of you who want information on Indigos, they are the most recent aura color to arrive on the planet. Indigos are ushering in a new energy, a new consciousness, a new age of peace and harmony. Whereas Violets feel driven to help save the planet, educate the masses, and improve life, Indigos are here to live as examples of a new higher awareness. Most Indigos began arriving in the 80s and 90s, although a few Indigos came as forerunners much earlier. The words used to describe Indigos include honest, aware, highly intuitive, psychic, independent, fearless, strong willed, and sensitive. Indigos are old souls who know who they are and where they came from. They are so unusual and spiritually advanced that some people find it difficult to know how to deal with them.

Indigos are born with their spiritual memories intact. Many parents report that their Indigo children regale them with vivid details of past lives or recent encounters with spiritual beings. They also report that these children can read their minds and seem to have amazing psychic abilities. The awareness and wisdom of these advanced young children is beyond rational explanation. Often, Indigos are able to speak in complete sentences long before other children have learned their first words. Indigo children seem to have an inherent understanding of technology. Most are highly adept at using computers at a very early age. Parents are often at a loss as to how to raise these amazing little beings.

An unusual characteristic of Indigos is that they frequently appear androgynous. It is often difficult to know if Indigos are male or female or homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, or asexual. It’s as if Indigos have both the yin and yang, male and female qualities within them. Their sexuality is not their primary concern, however; their spirituality is. Indigos are typically very beautiful. Looking into their eyes, one may sense that these beings came from another world or that they know something far beyond what is known on earth.

  1. Wow-- that is so neat. Thanks Pam! I didn't know all that about indigos.

I had a relative who I sometimes think was an indigo. He was diagnosed with Asperger syndrom in his 30's and had a hard time connecting with a lot of people. But anyone who knew him well connected on a really deep level. I've never known anyone else like him. Do Indigos sometime resemble people with as Asperger's?

  2. Thank you Mary, Great question. Yes, Indigos are also often diagnosed as Autistic. Interesting times - especially for Indigos. People just aren't used to the Indigo energy and personalities yet. Hopefully we'll be quick learners. Have fun!
